Richard Drum - Class Of 1971

Richard Erwin Drum

A celebration of life will take place Jan. 8 for Richard Erwin Drum, who died unexpectedly Dec. 31, 2002, at Reno, Nev. He was 49.

Mr. Drum was born in Exeter, Calif. While in Exeter he was one of the first valley finalist in diving and was also a member of the 1970 championship football team. His many interests included skiing, boating, golfing and reading. Mr. Drum was employed for 24 years at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. He will be greatly missed for his humor and wit.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia Dula of Visalia, Calif.; wife, Debra Drum of South Lake Tahoe; brother, Phil Drum of Long Beach, Calif.; many stepbrothers and stepsisters; uncles, Guy Honnell of Visalia, Calif.; and Richard Honnell of New Mexico; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 8 at Chevys Fresh Mex Restaurant, 3678 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Mr. Drum’s memory be made to the Lake Tahoe Humane Society and S.P.C.A., P.O. Box PET, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96158.
