Stan Staley - Class Of 1971

 Stanley Thomas “Stan” Staley

Stanley Thomas "Stan" Staley

Birth
Death 29 Aug 2000 (aged 47)
Burial Tulare, Tulare County, California, USA

Stan Staley was a admirable and honest man. He loved his "Life" family and friends. He was such a wonderful person one in who many just gravitated to. He had a infectious laugh and personality and spoke with a lisp. Being positive was very important to him and when he saw you he greeted you with a positive message. He was a business owner and Realtor. He passed at the young age of 48 that was due to an Botched Medical procedure. His death was such a tragedy! He left behind a wife and two young children whom he loved dearly. Stanley was my cousin and I want many to know what a remarkable Man he was. When heaven took you Stan it took a part of us as well! Our lives are better for knowing you. We love you and miss you so much.

I had the privledge of being in the same class with Stan at Sequoia Union Elementary school from Kindergarden thru 8th grade. We both lived in Lindcove and regularly rode the bus together each day to and from school. Although he was a great student and fantastic athlete, he was an even greater person. He never let his God-given abilities separate him from anyone he met. Although in high school we had a different circle of friends, when we would meet, it was like we never were apart from each other. I was saddened to hear of his untimely death. It was a great honor to call him a friend and classmate.

It is difficult to mention Sequoia Union Elementary School, or Exeter High School without remembering Stan Staley.  Stan was my teammate, in Track, Football, Baseball, and Basketball at S.U.E.S.  In the great township of  Lemmon Cove, CA. he was the best athlete and good guy to come from that school in my opinion.

As our pictcher ,he struck me out more times than I care to admit.  Stan was a grade behind me, and better at everything. I could not be angry with him ever, because of that infectious smile.   What great person he was.

The last time I saw Stan was 1985, downtown Visalia in a chance meeting. He said " Got time for some breakfast? ". We caught up on the news with Pete Rena joining us.

Richard Rodriquez was a classmate and is right.  Stan Staley was the best, and gone too soon from us.
